Greetings, fellow explorers of Harveen’s World! I’m Harveen, your guide on this thrilling adventure through life, entrepreneurship, and the pursuit of holistic living.

Born and bred in Nairobi, Kenya, my schoolmates will remember that nerdy kid with glasses, nose forever buried in a book. That’s still me – on the prowl for knowledge and devouring information like my cat Buzz devours catnip.

Blogging became my platform to share stories back in 2020 when COVID-19 had us all trapped and looking for avenues to use our energy. It led to me exploring an array of new skills, bringing me to where I am today.

Yes, a nerd’s gotta nerd!

So I thought why stop there? Life’s a constant learning curve, and I’m taking you along for the ride!

• Life lessons from a multi-hyphenate: My journey isn’t linear – it’s a zigzag of experiences so buckle up for stories from a nerd, corporate worker, daughter, sister, girlfriend, friend, blogger, and (yes) boss lady!

• From IT intern to Entrepreneur: This girl’s got experience! Over the last 14 years, I’ve worn many hats and I’ve gone from retail to healthcare, automative to NGOs, executive assistant to managing teams. And now, I’m building my own empire starting with Job Guru Africa, connecting freelancers across Kenya, and Poseidon Collection, turning ocean love into sustainable fashion. We’ll go behind the scenes, talk challenges and triumphs, and learn what it takes to be a changemaker.

• Ocean Crusader: My soul is forever entwined with the ocean, a childhood passion that I rediscovered in 2019 when I made my decision to leave my 9-5 job. Witness my fight for ocean conservation awareness, learn about all things marine, and in the near future, catch a glimpse of my holy grail moment – hands full of plastic, picked straight from the ocean by yours truly!

• Sharing knowledge: From writing to design, journaling to AI, I’m a firm believer in lifelong learning. Join me as I conquer new skills, share my stumbles and breakthroughs, and found ways to turn them into income through courses, affiliate partnerships, and my own creations.

• Holistic Human in Progress: Yoga mats, self-care Sundays, and a sprinkle of Happy Hours – I’m on a quest to become a well-rounded being, body, mind, and spirit. Get inspired by my journey, learn new hacks, and above all, watch me make my mark in the world, leaving it a better place than I found it.

• Cat-astrophic Adventures: Meet Buzz (or Queen B, as I sometimes call her), my resident feline overlord, who rules the roost with a regal paw. Expect purrfectly curated content, cat-inspired wisdom, and the occasional hairball-worthy meme.
